Red. Everything was red. The cries of death pierced my ears like 1000 bullets. So much blood was shed that a scratch was nothing to us. Thick, black smoke raged across the sky. Gun- powder was smeared onto the sand - some vanishing into the depths of the waters. There was no turning back. Memories of my beautiful wife and children flooded into my mind. All it seemed was bullets, blood and death.
After what seemed like a whole generation later, there were suddenly no more bullets, no more blood, no more death, the dust settled around us and I was a survivor, but how I remember it, red, everything was red.
